G40 generator added to product lineup

Doosan Portable Power is adding the G40WDO mobile generator to its product lineup. Rated with prime power output of 39 kVA, the G40 fills the position between the popular G25 and G50 generator models.

Equipped with a Doosan D24 diesel engine rated at 49 HP, the new G40 is exempt from permitting or state-mandated surcharges assessed on diesel-powered equipment of 50 HP or greater, such as the California Portable Equipment Registration Program (PERP) and Texas Emissions Reduction Plan (TERP).

As with all Doosan engines, the G40 also meets the stringent Tier 4-Final emissions standards without diesel particulate filter (DPF) aftertreatment, which improves fuel efficiency and reduces maintenance requirements.

“The G40 provides a solid balance of the performance needed to power a broad range of applications while giving owners the advantage to avoid permitting fees that can apply to diesel-powered portable equipment in some markets,” said Todd Howe, manager – global generator products. “This can lead to significant cost of ownership advantages in these markets."

The G40 offers many of the same features as other popular Doosan generators, including extended runtime without refueling and low sound levels, making the multipurpose generator an obvious rental choice for event applications and general construction. An operator-friendly control panel with a backlit LCD screen allows for easy viewing of common parameters and analog gauges provide at-a-glance monitoring for operator convenience.

The new G40 generator is backed by a 1 year / 2,000-hour package warranty; a 2 year /4,000-hour alternator warranty and a 1 year / unlimited-hour warranty on the Doosan engine.
